Project Summary:
ECA project is about creating a resource pack with educational materials distributed into two modules:
• Module 1: Social and civic awareness
• Module 2: Environmental awareness
The training activities from the Module 1 will teach primary school students to know and respect Human Rights and Children’s Rights, to value every member of society as a human being and feel valued themselves with the unique characteristics of their identity and how to participate and to be actively involved in the life of their small community. Module 2 will teach students about the consequences of our actions on the environment and how to fight against climate change.
The Student’s workbook and the complimentary Guidebook for teachers will support educators in their mission to bring up a generation of active citizens respecting and fighting for human rights and knowing how to act to protect the environment. The project intellectual outputs and the planned teacher training events will provide a good foundation for organizing training courses at primary school level as an optional course at primary school level, or they could be used in lessons to develop the civic and environmental competences of students.
