The second year of the project started with the first teacher training event of the ECA project. It was hosted by Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education. Our hosts organized the training session to take place in a lovely spacious room branded and decorated to create a positive and inspiring atmosphere.
All training sessions were planned as simulations of the trainings the teachers would implement with their students during school year 2024/25 to pilot the resources from the Civic and Environmental Education (CEE) training course.
As suggested in the Teacher’s Guidebook, we started with a Fears and Expectations session, and continued with warm-up activities meant to energize the participants, make them curious and eager to participate in the training sessions; there were activities aimed at getting-to-know each other and getting-to-know yourself, and team building activities.
The day continued with a rich cultural programme. We visited a hidden gem in 2.5 million city – Düden Waterfalls and the Old City of Antalya.
It was a fabulous first day of the training! Thank you everybody for the active participation and organization.
