Erasmus+ ECA Project Dissemination Meeting Held in Antalya
The dissemination meeting of the ECO-CIVIC Awareness (ECA) Project, supported under the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH Cooperation Partnerships in School Education programme and coordinated by the Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held on 4 June 2026 at the Konyaaltı Mehmet Zeki Balcı Teachers’ House.
During the meeting, participants were provided with comprehensive information about the project, including its objectives, partner institutions, activities carried out, and project outcomes. Coordinated by Bulgaria, the project brings together partner organizations from Portugal, Latvia, and Türkiye. The project aims to enhance primary school students’ knowledge, skills, and awareness in the fields of civic citizenship and environmental sustainability.
As part of the event, the project partners were introduced and the educational resources developed within the project were presented to participants. These included the Civic and Environmental Education (CEE) Student Workbook, the CEE Teacher’s Guidebook, and a range of digital educational resources. In addition, online learning activities and digital platforms designed for teachers were demonstrated through practical applications.
The meeting also highlighted the contributions of the Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education throughout the project period. Information was shared on pilot implementations conducted with teachers and students, feedback processes aimed at improving educational materials, and dissemination activities carried out at local and international levels. Furthermore, the outcomes of the international teacher training activities organized in Antalya, Türkiye, and Santarém, Portugal,
were presented and evaluated.



Throughout the programme, participants had the opportunity to explore examples of good practice related to environmental education, active citizenship, sustainability, and the use of digital educational resources in teaching and learning processes. At the end of the event, project evaluation questionnaires were administered to gather participants’ feedback and recommendations.
The student workbook, teacher’s guidebook, and digital educational resources developed within the ECA Project, which is funded by the European Union, are available free of charge to teachers and educational stakeholders. Up-to-date information about the project and access to all educational materials are available through the project website.
The Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education will continue its efforts to strengthen students’ environmental awareness, active citizenship skills, and democratic values through international cooperation projects and innovative educational initiatives.
