Santarem Sept 1-5, 2025
During the last day of the teacher training event in Santarem the participants stepped back in their shoes and started considering the practical implementation of the project training materials with their students. They were split in 4 groups, and each group had the task to choose a lesson plan form the manual and think of how they will deliver it to students following the suggested steps. It took some time for the groups to prepare and, due to time restrictions, the groups presented only a part of the lesson they have chosen, but still, it was a very useful activity, both to the presenters and the audience, because each presentation was followed by a short discussion. And, once again, the energizers and the art activities were the greatest fun.
And finally, all good things come to an end, unfortunately. So, we came to point of summing up what we had done during the week, discussed the tasks during the school year and collected participants’ opinion about the event making use of non-formal education methods.
The certificates were delivered in the wonderful conference hall of Sanaterm municipality by Vanya Horta, Head of Education, Sport, and Youth for the Municipality of Santarém
And finally … No, we didn’t bid goodbye right after the end of the training – our kind hosts from IPSantarem had organized a trip to Lisbon to visit Jerónimos Monastery and enjoyed the local sweet delicacies at Manteigaria’s Pastel de Nata on Belem, which was a great ending of this incredible training event in Portugal.
