Santarém, Portugal, September 1-5, 2025
The third year of the Eco-Civic Awareness project started with a teacher training event hosted by Instituto Politécnico de Santarém – Escola Superior de Educação. Our hosts organized the training sessions to take place in a lovely spacious room to create a positive and inspiring atmosphere.
The training sessions were planned as simulations of the trainings the teachers would implement with their students during school year 2025/26 to validate the resources from the Civic and Environmental Education (CEE) training course.
As suggested in the Teacher’s Guidebook, we started with a Fears and Expectations session, and continued with warm-up activities meant to energize the participants, make them curious and eager to participate in the training sessions; there were several activities aimed at getting-to-know each other and getting-to-know the partners’ countries activities.

The day continued with a guided tour of the city of Santarem with our kind guide Vera.
